Our 5 most popular Aesthetics Treatments for Men

We are getting more and more men through our Clinic doors looking for non-surgical aesthetic treatments.

It’s great to see men taking action to improve their confidence and age positively.

EK Clinic® is definitely not just for the ladies. Men are also concerned with their appearance and are actively seeking non-surgical treatments to enhance their appearance to look and feel more attractive. The rise in popularity of Brotox is a clear indication that men have realised that self-care and self-improvement treatments are open to them too.

A lot of our male clients wonder what our other male clients are like. Normal is the answer! The one thing you all have in common is you care about improving your appearance and being comfortable and confident in your own skin.

So, who are they? What do they look like? What jobs do they have? The answer is it completely varies! Just like it does with our female clients. We’ve got lorry drivers, mechanics, and office workers. Sometimes they come in by themselves but a lot of the time their wife has persuaded them to come and talk to us.

So, what treatments do men have at EK Clinic®? Here are the top 5 treatments for men at the moment.

Brotox (also known as Botox for men)

Exactly the same as Botox for women! But with a more manly name. Why shouldn’t men smooth out their frown lines, tackle horizontal forehead lines, and try and banish those crow’s feet?

Botox is a non-surgical option that tackles those deep forehead lines as well as preventing new wrinkles from forming. Clients find they experience a more youthful and vibrant appearance.

Botox results come quickly. Our male clients notice a difference within 10-14 days. Results of Botox are temporary and generally last around 3 to 4 months. Botox injections for men are becoming more and more popular with men having regular Botox treatment.

Botox is also quick. You will be in and out in around 30 minutes. Most people won’t even notice the tiny needle pricks you are left with after your treatment. Pain is very very minimal. Some people don’t feel pain at all.

Go on guys, get in touch if you want to buff out your fine lines and wrinkles and experience the rejuvenating benefits of Brotox.

But it’s not just about smoothing frown lines, horizontal forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Yes, these are the most commonly treated (and talked about) areas. There are other injectable Botox treatments for men. More specialist treatments include gummy smiles and jawline slimming, and the Nefertiti neck lift.

There’s also another use for Botox that is extremely popular, especially with our male patients… Botox injections to reduce excessive sweating. This is especially popular in the summer months. You may be frustrated with sweat stains on your shirts under your armpits, perhaps you have an event coming up where you want to avoid those dreaded sweat stains. We can help with that!

If you aren’t coming to us for your male Botox then please make sure you find a Clinic that treats both men and women. Men often have stronger, muscles, and larger heads, and therefore your nurse or doctor should treat you differently. At our EK Clinics in Brackley and Witney, we have had experience giving both women and men Botox. Often men want different results to women too. We recognise that every patient is unique and we tailor a bespoke Botox treatment plan to give you the results you are looking for.

Dermal Fillers

We find a lot of men are interested in Dermal Filler for Jawline Contouring. Another injectable treatment for men with fantastic results.

Dermal Filler is an injection that adds volume to the skin by retaining water where it is injected. Dermal Filler comes as an injectable gel that is delivered beneath the surface of the skin to plump it out. The substance we inject is based on hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally within the skin to retain water and add volume. As we age, we lose this a bit – but don’t worry – we can restore this using Dermal Filler injections.

Dermal fillers can replenish lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, create an anti-ageing lift, and improve facial features. We can treat many areas and concerns with Dermal Filler. Areas include lip, cheek, chin, jaw, tear trough, hollows, and dark circles under the eyes.

Men can tackle wrinkles, deep lines, and creases such as nose-to-mouth lines with Dermal Fillers. Reducing these lines can give smoother and more youthful-looking skin. Dermal Fillers for men can smooth out facial hollows too. You may have these around the temples at either side of the forehead.

It is possible to achieve a fresher look by lifting with Dermal Fillers. The facial tissue can become loose over time and need that lift.

When it comes to facial features, we can use Dermal Fillers for facial reshaping to improve the whole appearance of the face. Some of our clients want to achieve a sharper jawline or are looking for more symmetry. We can help with all of that with Dermal Fillers for men. There are so many possibilities.

As always, your safety is important to us, so at EK Clinic® we only use premium Dermal Filler products such as Juvederm and Teoxane.

Treatment planning is essential in respect of Dermal Fillers for men. Costs are subject to a full consultation and a bespoke treatment plan.

Skin tag Removal

Another treatment that men come in for is skin tag removal.

Skin tags are small brown or flesh-coloured growths (usually a few mm to 50mm in size), and they hang from the surface of your skin. They are made of loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin and can look like warts or raised bumps. Skin tags are common, they are completely harmless, and they do not usually cause any pain or discomfort. However, some people want to remove them for cosmetic reasons. Or some people find they can snag on clothing and jewellery and cause a bit of discomfort.

Skin tags can affect both men and women. They most commonly occur where the skin folds or creases (most commonly on the neck, armpits, and around the groin). They are more likely to affect people who are overweight for this reason. Skin tags can be hereditary, and people who have type 2 diabetes or are pregnant are also more prone to them. Some people can also develop them for no apparent reason.

There are many old wives' tales out there for at-home removal, but they don’t work! Please just leave it to the professionals.

We have qualified nurses and doctors that can assess and give you personalised advice. So please come in and let’s take a look at any skin tags you may want to be removed. We will discuss the treatment options with you and if you want to go ahead with skin tag removal we carry out the procedure in one of our clinics.

Medical Weight Loss

A popular treatment for men is our Medical Weight Loss Programme. Some of our best success stories are with our male clients.

Rather than a one-off treatment, this National Medical Weight Loss Programme has been designed as a medically supervised and holistic route to weight loss for those who are overweight or obese.

If you are suitable for the programme, then you will receive a simple pre-filled pen with the medication in. You then self-administer a painless injection either daily or weekly.

The National Medical Weight Loss Programme will help you curb your appetite, curb hunger, suppress cravings, release stored fat, and lose weight alongside developing positive habits.

If you’d like to know more about how you can achieve your weight loss goals, please get in touch for a complimentary no-obligation consultation.

Vitamin B12 Booster

The ultimate quick treatment for men. A simple injection containing Vitamin B12 that can boost your energy levels!

This Vitamin B12 injection is quick and fairly painless. It is over in 10 minutes and can last up to 3 months.

Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin, also known as cobalamin. It plays a vital role in brain function and the production of DNA and red blood cells.

Vitamin B12 is found only in animal foods such as red meat, liver, fish, and dairy products. Therefore, deficiency is common, especially in people who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. Lifestyle choices and poor diets can contribute to a B12 deficiency.

Because B12 is vital a deficit in B12 can affect our energy levels, and cause stress, fatigue, and brain fog. Regular Vitamin B12 injections can give you that boost and assist with your health and well-being.

Lots of wives send their husbands in for this one – especially if they hear “I’m tired” a lot.

For more information on this treatment or any others in this article please get in touch. We would love to invite you in for a consultation to discuss any concerns.

If you are reading this and you aren’t a man, but you have a man at home that we can help – please send them in!
