Mole & Lesion Screening
At our CQC registered clinic in Brackley we have teamed up with ScreenCancer UK to offer a mole and lesion screening service which provides an assessment of moles and lesions you’re worried about and can help to identify any that might be suspicious.
The service doesn’t provide a diagnosis of skin cancer, but ScreenCancer Dermatology Specialists analyse the moles/lesions and can help identify any suspicious moles that might need further investigation.
Your appointment will involve a consultation to assess your risk factors for skin cancer followed by a scan of the mole(s) or pigmented lesion(s) which will be taken using a ScreenCancer dermatoscopic imaging device. The images and information will then be sent securely to a ScreenCancer Dermatology Specialist for analysis.
Around 15,400 people are diagnosed with melanoma in the UK each year and this number has increased by almost half over the last decade. The incidence of malignant melanoma has risen faster than any other common cancer in the UK.

FAQ
How quickly will I get my results?
All moles/pigmented lesions are privately analysed and a colour report sent to you within 2 weeks.
What if my results aren't all clear?
If there are any concerns about the mole/lesion, a nurse or doctor will call you to discuss recommendations from the report and advise if any remedial treatment/action is required. ScreenCancer will contact you again 3-6 months after the consultation to obtain your feedback.
Do you offer a mole & lesion removal service?
Yes, once you have the all clear you can discuss our mole removal options with your medical practitioner.
