Cryotherapy is sometimes known as cold therapy. It is the local or general use of low temperatures in medical therapy. Cryotherapy can be used to treat a variety of tissue lesions – removing them permanently. The big advantage of cryotherapy is it often replaces the need for surgery.
Because we have a team of medically led nurses and an in-house doctor our patients for Cryotherapy are often referred to us by GPs. This also means you are in the safest of hands, so please come and talk to us if you, or a family member, have any concerns about skin lesions.

We use liquid nitrogen to remove the skin lesion. We spray it on the affected skin cells for several seconds. This produces a very controlled cold burn, which will destroy cells in the top layer of the skin. In the short term the skin may become inflamed and blister.
